Meet the Founder

AMB Global LLC was founded by Dr. Allyson M. Bachta, an international researcher, facilitator, and learning specialist with more than 15 years of experience helping people and institutions navigate complex challenges, strengthen relationships, and turn ideas into meaningful action. Her career has operated at the intersection of education, civic engagement, peacebuilding, human rights, public policy, and global social challenges. She brings a deep understanding of how organizations across sectors navigate complexity, build partnerships, and create meaningful change in diverse cultural and political contexts.

As a facilitator and trainer, Allyson has designed and led workshops, strategic planning processes, leadership retreats, professional learning communities, and train-the-trainer programs for participants ranging from frontline practitioners to senior executives. Her approach combines deep listening, structured dialogue, and evidence-informed methods to help groups move beyond discussion toward shared understanding, practical solutions, and collective action.

Alongside her facilitation work, Allyson brings extensive expertise as a researcher and analyst. She has led international research initiatives, managed multinational collaborations, developed evidence and learning frameworks, and produced research that informs policy and practice in areas including education, conflict, protection, and social change. Her academic work, including a PhD in Global Governance and Human Security, reflects a commitment to rigorous, community-centered research that bridges the gap between evidence and action.

This blend of global research expertise, facilitation practice, and organizational learning informs the work of AMB Global LLC. Through The Forum, Action Studio, and Evidence Lab, the organization brings together dialogue, implementation, and evidence to help organizations build stronger relationships, make better decisions, and create lasting impact.

Why I Founded AMB Global

Throughout my career, I have partnered with organizations navigating complex challenges across diverse communities and global contexts. Again and again, I observed the same pattern: organizations invest deeply in listening, research, strategic planning, and collaborative dialogue, yet many find themselves asking the same question when the process concludes: “Now what?”

The “now what?” phase is where many promising initiatives lose momentum. A community engagement process may uncover important perspectives. A research project may reveal new insights. A strategic planning process may generate an ambitious vision. But transforming those discoveries into shared priorities, practical strategies, and sustained action requires a different set of skills.

I founded AMB Global LLC because I saw a need for a more connected approach. Too often, organizations work with separate facilitators, researchers, evaluators, and strategists at different points in a project. Valuable knowledge can be lost as teams move from one phase to the next.

AMB Global was built to support organizations across the entire journey of change—from uncovering what matters, engaging diverse perspectives, and gathering meaningful evidence to facilitating decisions, identifying the assets already present within communities, and developing practical pathways forward.

By integrating the work of The Forum, Action Studio, and Evidence Lab, we help organizations move seamlessly between dialogue, evidence, and action. We believe that the people closest to a challenge often hold the wisdom and resources needed to create change; our role is to create the structures, processes, and learning opportunities that help those strengths emerge.

The most effective solutions are not created through a single conversation, a report on a shelf, or a strategic plan that remains unfinished. They are built through an ongoing cycle of listening, learning, adapting, and acting together. That is the work AMB Global was created to support.

Testimonials

“ Allyson is a gifted teacher/trainer and an adept facilitator with keen intuition and intervention skills. People leave her workshops not just well informed but also well cared for because of her deep capacity to see people so they feel seen and to generally feel and convey empathy for people's struggles and successes. Working side by side with Allyson has been a joy. She is at the top of her game in training and dialogue and executes with passion, good humor, and a collective spirit. I know that I can trust and that we together can manage dilemmas in the moment with skill and without rancor, even in front of a group. In her practice, Allyson draws from a deep reservoir of teaching and leadership experience. I always learn from her when we're together and I can't recommend her highly enough.”

“Allyson truly created a team culture where asking questions sharing ideas and making mistakes felt safe. This, in turn, made it easier for all of us to learn, take initiative, and do our best work. Her feedback was constructive, clear, and actionable, and I always felt that she was invested in helping me and the rest of our research team learn and succeed. I also deeply enjoyed our collaboration, her sense of humor, her attentiveness, and the overall joy that she brought to a team working with heavy and often difficult material. Overall, I would describe Allyson as a leader who exhibits genuine empathy, curiosity, professionalism, and commitment to her team, and I would enthusiastically welcome the opportunity to work with her again in the future!

“Allyson is a gem. I highly recommend her for any position requiring outstanding organizational skills and problem solving. Her knowledge of classroom education made my project, “Civic Conversations,” shine because she put everything in a format for the educators whom we were teaching dialogic techniques. Her personality and even tempered approach made the community of practice with our educators meet the goal we desired. She can jump into any aspect of a project without hesitation and make it work. I would hire Allyson again and again.”

“I cannot overstate how invaluable Allyson’s consulting has been to our organization as we try to adapt our work to the secondary school sector. Her experience as both a teacher and administrator gives her a unique perspective and enabled us to better adapt our materials, communications and language to better meet the needs of school communities. Allyson's ability to listen deeply to where we were coming from and the language we use in our work enabled her to assist us in translating our concepts and mapping them onto the education space. Additionally, she is a joy to work with: professional and joyful. I always left our meetings with a sense of hope of what was possible and affirmed and the work that had been done. I cannot recommend Allyson highly enough as an educator, consultant and professional.”
